   Hi,
   I am doing some genealogy (ancestry) research on my fathers surname “Pruet” and I have found that many of my ancestors were born and buried in Clay county. I live in Florida and my question is do you know anyway I might be able to get some information (records) that will be useful on any of the family surnames. Basically anything I wouldn’t be able to find on ancestry.com or other online services.

   I subscribed to Clay County AL Historical Society two or three months ago. I paid the fee but have never received anything. I am aware that you have tried to call me but I have been unable to hear the phone number you are calling from. Please email me as to what I should do. A lot of my family history is in Clay County: Watts, Haynes, Ponder, Shirey, etc. Would like to hear from someone in the society.
