What is the Chamber of Commerce
The Clay County Chamber of Commerce is a community and business organization which advocates for its diverse member businesses and individuals. The Chamber promotes and enhances the talents and resources of its members to create a climate of growth and success in the community.
What is Our Mission
The Chamber’s Mission is to provide services to members, support existing business, promote positive economic development and tourism, while preserving our community’s natural resources and enhancing our citizen’s quality of life.
The Chamber improves the economic vitality and quality of life for its members and the community through leadership opportunities, volunteer efforts and programs focused on business, civic and social priorities. There are three primary functions of a chamber of commerce:
- The Chamber acts as spokesperson for the business and professional community and translates into action the group thinking of its members, and
- The Chamber renders specific services of a type that can be most effectively rendered by a community organization both to its members, and to the community as a whole, and
- The Chamber promotes economic development and tourism in Clay County.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors is made up of 9 members nominated and elected by the membership. Each fall, three directors are elected to serve a three year term. Visit here for individual contact information.
