Prevention Assistant–Talladega, Clay, Coosa, and Randolph County
The Prevention Assistant is responsible for assisting with trainings, presentations, and activities to program participants in the counties of Talladega, Clay, Coosa, and Randolph. The Prevention Assistant works closely with the Community Wellness Team Leader to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.
-Provide Prevention education classes to targeted schools in selected counties.
-Provide interactive activities for selected counties.
-Facilitate presentations to community residents and other stakeholders.
-Document services provided in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
-Report all unusual incidents that may involve participants to the Community Wellness Team Leader.
-To attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
-Perform other duties as instructed by the Community Wellness Coordinator, Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and/or Executive Director.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Excellent writing, communication, organizational and time management skills with knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.
-Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
-Exceptional interpersonal skills.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
-Ability to maintain harmonious effective working relationships with other employees.
-Minimum Bachelor’s degree in human services, social service field or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
-Ability to provide services in a compassionate, ethical manner.
-Valid Alabama drivers’ license and good driving record required.
-Ability to keep sensitive information obtained confidential.
-Requires the physical mobility to sit, stand, bend, and walk for moderate periods of time.
-Requires the ability to drive a motor vehicle.
-Must have your own transportation and be willing to use your own personal transportation to travel to various counties. Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included.
$10.00 per hour
P/T, Non-Exempt, (20 hours per week) Monday – Friday, Flexible Schedule (some evenings, nights, and weekends)
